Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 September 2026 · Version 2026-09
FarmLab ("we", "us", "our") operates Landscapr. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to be transparent and to only collect what we need to run the service.
1. Information we collect
Account information: your email address and an encrypted password when you sign up, and your name if you choose to add it to your profile.
Garden data: the gardens, features, plants and settings you create and save, including shared links you generate.
Usage data: how you interact with the service, such as features used and approximate device and location information derived from your IP address.
Communications: messages you send us through the contact form or email.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- create and manage your account and keep you signed in;
- store, render and back up your garden designs;
- generate shopping lists and AI design suggestions;
- respond to support enquiries and send service notices;
- improve, secure and monitor the service; and
- comply with legal obligations.
We may use aggregated or de-identified data to improve features and train our AI garden design assistant. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar storage to remember your cookie choice, keep you signed in and understand how the service is used. When you first visit, we show a cookie banner so you can accept or reject non-essential cookies. Your choice is stored locally and as a first-party cookie. You can clear cookies in your browser at any time, though this may sign you out.
4. Data sharing and disclosure
We share data only as needed to operate the service (for example with hosting and infrastructure providers), to comply with the law, or to protect our rights. We do not sell your personal data. If you share a garden via a public link, that plan is viewable by anyone with the link and is no longer private.
5. Data retention
We keep your account and garden data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account or your account is terminated, we will delete your data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep it for legal, accounting or security reasons.
6. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep your information safe.
7. Your rights and choices
You can access, correct or delete your account and garden data through the service. You can turn off garden sharing at any time. To request export or deletion of your data, or to withdraw any consent, contact us via the contact page. Where required by law, you also have rights to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with a privacy regulator.
8. International data transfers
Your data may be processed and stored on servers that may be located outside your country. We take steps to ensure appropriate protection is in place for any such transfer.
9. Children's privacy
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the service or by email. The version and date above show the current policy.
